Common questions

I paid, but my pals are still locked.

Open the Pals tab and tap Restore purchase. Make sure you are signed in to the same Apple Account you bought with. If it still does not unlock, email us — include the date of purchase and we will sort it out.

I got a new phone.

Your purchase follows your Apple Account, not the device. Install Pixel Pals, open the Pals tab and tap Restore purchase. Note that your pals' levels, costumes and diary are stored on the device itself, so those start fresh.

What exactly does the purchase include?

One payment of $4.99 unlocks the other sixteen pals, the duo pin (two pals on screen at once) and the whole costume closet — including pals added in future updates. There is no subscription and there are no ads. Rupert and Hugo are free forever.

Can I get a refund?

Refunds are handled by Apple. Open the Pals tab, tap Manage purchase and choose the refund option, or go to reportaproblem.apple.com.

My pal is not catching notifications.

Check that notifications are enabled for the apps you expect to hear from, in Settings → Notifications. Pixel Pals reacts to notifications arriving; it never reads what they say.

How do I interact with my pal?

Tap for a pat. Double-tap and they roll over. Rub back and forth to scratch behind the ears. Press and hold to pick them up. Feed, play and nap are on the Home tab.

How do costumes unlock?

By levelling up, not by paying. Ten costumes, and every pal remembers what they wore.
